Clinical Case Support Specialist
Our client is adding a Clinical Case Support Specialist to play a critical role in ensuring the safe and successful implantation of a structural heart device. This position works directly with physicians, case teams, and internal stakeholders to support procedures, prepare and load devices in the operating room, and contribute to case planning and training programs.
This individual will serve as a technical expert on device preparation and valve delivery system setup, and will help develop patient-specific case plans by analyzing imaging and clinical data. The role requires strong collaboration with physicians and cross-functional teams to support clinical execution and deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Your role with the company:
Device Preparation & Procedural Support

Serve as the subject matter expert on device preparation and valve delivery system setup.

Prepare and load the valve in accordance with established procedural standards.

Ensure all devices and delivery systems are properly prepared and functioning prior to procedures.

Support operating room case teams during procedures, including troubleshooting and preparing additional devices when required.

Accurately verify, track, and document all device information.

Participate in case debriefs and procedural reviews.

Train internal personnel on proper device preparation and case support protocols.
Case Planning & Case Management

Independently plan and manage all aspects of case preparation and documentation.

Develop patient-specific case presentations using imaging, anatomical analysis, and clinical data.

Ensure procedural protocols are followed before, during, and after procedures.

Monitor procedural outcomes and escalate any concerns appropriately.

Maintain accurate and timely case documentation.

Train internal teams on case planning and case management processes.

Provide backup support for case logistics, including travel coordination for case teams.
Desired Profile:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Medical Imaging, Biomedical Engineering, or related scientific field

2+ years of experience in the medical device industry, ideally in clinical research or field clinical engineering with cardiovascular technologies

2+ years of cardiovascular clinical experience preferred, such as:

Interventional cardiology

Cardiac surgery
-
Cath lab
-
Echocardiography / sonography

Experience supporting operating room procedures and device preparation strongly preferred

Experience training physicians, clinical staff, or internal teams preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Working knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and structural heart procedures

Familiarity with percutaneous and endovascular technologies

Strong organizational and case management skills

Ability to troubleshoot electromechanical medical devices in procedural environments

Comfort working in fast-paced clinical and pivotal trial environments

Strong communication skills with physicians, clinical teams, and internal stakeholders

Ability to remain calm and escalate concerns appropriately in high-pressure procedural settings
Additional Requirements

Willingness to travel extensively (70%+ travel)

Ability to support procedures across domestic and international sites
